All members of the American Legion Riders shall be current members of The American Legion, Sons of The American Legion and/or American Legion Auxiliary. Members must also meet the following requirements:
- Must be a member in good standing of a Legion Post, in a Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary, or a Squadron of The Sons of the American.
- Legion in the Department of Texas and be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Motorcycle Owner: Each ALR member shall establish and maintain membership by owning, individually or through partnership or marriage, a motorcycle licensed and insured as required by Texas state law.
- All new applicants must appear before the ALR TX Post 411 Board to express their interest in wanting to join the American Legion Riders of Texas and agree to fulfill and support the bylaws herein.
- A sponsor will be appointed to new applicants upon approval for membership by the ALR Executive Board. The sponsor is responsible for ensuring the new member participates in mandatory meetings and events. The sponsor will provide an update as to the status of the new member at each monthly general membership meeting.
- Spouses and/or Partners, who meet the requirements of our ByLaws may also be members.
