Scam Emails from American legion
All members;
Be aware that there are emails going out that appear to be from Department of Texas, Commander Gene Toohey and others requesting you send them your credentials, gift cards etc. THESE ARE SCAMS !!!!!!!
If you get a suspicious looking email DO NOT OPEN or REPLY to it!!!!!
Delete it immediately.
I have contacted Department of Texas Internal Affairs and they are aware of the scams and said they have been going on for years now. They said they have posted it on their FB page. I suggested they send out a mass email to re-warn everyone about it! I don’t see that being done by the conversation I had with them. So just be aware of the scams out there.

DUE TO A CHANGE IN THE U.S. CONGRESS LAWS, ALL, VETERANS, HONORABLY DISCHARGED AND WHO HAVE SERVED ONE DAY OF ACTIVE DUTY ARE NOW ELIGIBLE TO JOIN THE AMERICAN LEGION. BECAUSE OUR MEMBERSHIP WAS GOVERNED BY CONGRESSIONAL LAWS AND NOT THE LEGION. MANY VETERANS WERE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP. IF YOU WERE NOT ELIGIBLE BEFORE AND ARE NOW, PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING US AT POST 411 IN CONROE, TEXAS.

Our meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at, 13614 Poplar Business Park Suite 104. ( home of the weekly Lone Star Honor Flight Veterans Group meetings) Our next meeting is on April 9 2024 at 7pm.
